The National Association for Continuing Education (NACE), a part of Haymarket Media, Inc., and a member of NAMEC, has been reviewed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) and awarded Accreditation with Commendation for six years as a provider of continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. This is the highest level of accreditation awarded by the ACCME.

Accreditation in the ACCME system seeks to assure the medical community and the public that NACE delivers education that is relevant to clinicians’ needs, evidence-based, evaluated for its effectiveness and independent of commercial influence.

In order to achieve accreditation, providers must participate in a rigorous process demonstrating that activities are developed in accordance with 13 ACCME criteria and the standards for commercial support. The designation of accreditation with commendation further pushes providers to achieve an additional 8 criteria that advance interprofessional collaborative practice, address public health priorities, create behavioral change, show leadership, leverage educational technology and demonstrate the impact of education on healthcare professionals and patients.

“This is quite an accomplishment and a testament to our innovative and driven team,” said Michelle Frisch, Vice President, Operations. “It is our mission to provide education that has a meaningful impact on the clinicians we serve and improves the health and safety of their patients. We are proud to be recognized for our work and look forward to developing additional CME resources for our learners.”
