Company membership includes 1 primary contact and up to 7 additional contacts (additional contacts can be added by the primary contact in the members only profile page).

The primary and additional contacts (up to 8 total) will have full access to the members only section, which includes the membership directory, archive and list serve information. Member contacts may also participate in online forum discussions. All employees of member companies are eligible to participate in NAMEC educational conferences and other events. They are also eligible to participate in NAMEC Committees and run for election to the NAMEC Board of Directors.

Membership Eligibility

Membership (Full Voting) is open to any medical education company (MEC) that meets the following definition:

An entity (either for profit or not for profit) whose
- primary business is the dissemination of the most current information on disease states, therapies, medical products and devices, and other pertinent medical practice topics to physicians and other health care professionals.
- information is primarily delivered through continuing professional education activities, such as symposia or enduring materials. These activities are intended to confirm or change current medical practice and ultimately improve patient care. These activities may be supported by educational grants from pharmaceutical, biological, and/or device manufacturing companies, from other commercial entities, from government agencies, from foundations, or from subscription or registration fees.

In addition, an education consulting company can become a Full Voting Member if it is currently working with at least one MEC.

Member (Associate Non-Voting) status is available to those organizations that do not meet the definition of a MEC, but have a vested interest in the improvement and success of MECs.

Membership Fee (Full Voting and Associate Non-Voting)

New Members Joining between January 1 and March 31
Membership will be valid through December 31 of the current year. The initial membership fee is $1,200. The yearly renewal rate will be $1,000 each year thereafter.

New Members Joining between April 1 and September 30
Membership will be valid through December 31 of the current year. The initial membership fee will be $1,200. The first year renewal rate will be $500. The renewal rate for the second year and each year thereafter will be $1,000.

New Members Joining between October 1 and December 31
Membership will be valid through December 31 of the following year. The initial membership payment will be $1,200. The yearly renewal rate will be $1,000 each year thereafter.

Non-renewal of Dues
Members will be expected to renew online or by check within 90 days of expiration. If renewal payments are not received within that time period the company will be required to join again as a New Member.
